On February 27, 2025, the Bar Association held its annual Judges Dinner a long-standing tradition where local members of the judiciary are recognized. This year the Bar Association honored recently retired United States Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of New York Christian F. Hummel and newly elected Rensselaer County Family Court Judge Matthew J. Turner. Judge Hummel was introduced by Judge Paul Morgan, Rensselaer County Surrogate’s Court Judge. Judge Morgan presented Judge Hummel with his Judicial photograph to be hung in the Rensselaer County Courthouse Surrogate Courtroom alongside the other Surrogate’s Court Judges. Judge Turner was introduced by Rensselaer County Family Court Judge Jill Kehn.
